Flexographic Printing:
Flexographic printing uses flexible rubber or photopolymer plates to transfer ink onto a substrate, such as paper, plastic, or metal. The inked plates are mounted on a rotating cylinder, which then transfers the ink onto the substrate as it passes through the printing press. Flexographic printing is commonly used for printing on packaging materials, labels, and corrugated cardboard, and is known for its ability to print on a wide variety of substrates with high speed and precision.
Applications:
Our Librelle® nylon spunbond fabric can be used in the following flexographic printing applications:
1. Use as a blotter material, which is placed between the printing plate and the impression cylinder to absorb excess ink and ensure consistent ink transfer to the substrate. This helps to prevent ink from smearing or bleeding, and can improve the overall print quality.
2. Use as a backing or support material for printing plates, to provide additional stability and prevent stretching or distortion during printing.
3. Use as a substrate for printing, such as in the production of labels or packaging materials.
